Foster Update:

Daisy is an empathetic snuggle-bear! She’s that rare sort of pup who is so thoughtful, and cares so much about how others feel, that she could easily become one of the most important 'people' in your life. She doesn't let her slight heart murmur effect her one bit! If the kids have a bad day at school she’ll come thump-thump-thumping over to you with her big Chewbacca paws and then sit her soft, shiny self in your lap – oomph! That’s a lot to hold in your lap! And does she love to be held!! This 70lb dog is convinced she's a tiny pup. She loves to play and snuggle with everyone! Well, except some dogs bigger than her. She needs a slow introduction to pooches her size or larger. She still acts like a pup when meeting other dogs and has no sense of personal space. The bigger pooches don't always like it and when they let her know she reacts defensively. But other than that, she loves everyone. You should see her with the puppies! I think she'd adopt them all if she could. She even watches to make sure I feed them all before she settles in for her own dinner.

Daisy is a 3 yr old lovable & energenic staffordshire terrier. She was rescued at 12 weeks old by her orginal family. She was found on the side of the road scared and timid. Daisy is great with kids and family. She is fully potty trained, and has been through a basic command training course. Daisy roams the house daily, never chews on anything other than toys or treats and does not sit on furniture or beds. She is well mannered, loves
attention, going on walks & runs, loves to play and snuggle.

Daisy has only been socialized with her companion (an adult rottie who was already adopted) and she is acting defensively to other medium and large breed dogs. She can be with other dogs in the home but must have a very slow introduction. She is currently fostered with another large breed dog who is also looking for a home.

Daisy and her companion (who has already adopted) have been surrendered due to the baby having a really bad allergic reaction to them. It has come to a point where the doctor has told them the baby can not go near the dogs and everything needs to be deep cleaned.

Daisy has a heart murrur but this does not affect her daily life. She is pretty high energy and loves to play!
