This interesting litter was rescued from rural Georgia. The owners dachund/terrier mix dog got accidently pregnant and deliver puppies in there home! We’re not 100% sure what the breed is as we never directly met the momma dog but were told she was a small-medium sized dog believed to be a dachshund mix ( short legs, fat body). This litter came in all different colors and are full of energy and love! Stache was adopted from us at just a couple months of age to an older couple. He was returned this past weekend (Nov 2018) because they where having health issues and he was too energenic. Well they loved him with the food a little too much and now he is very obese. He is about 10 lbs overweight and needs someone who will give him lots of exercise, loves and direction while restricting his food intake! He is a happy loving boy who wants nothing more than to be buy your side all the time! Below is what his foster had to say about him:

Stache likes to be close to whoever he is most familiar with and may need some light encouragement in new situations.
He's quickly made himself at home here, and respected my household wishes to only allow the residential cat on the furniture, although he painfully yearns to be right next to you on the couch during your nightly shows and morning news.

Great on leash, may pull a bit more when he sees someone or something he wants to say "hello" but, quickly shifts focus to me when I ask for him to redirect his attention.

Deff house trained, prefers potty time on walks/when leashed in the yard but has done bussiness in the yard at the night. The first night I picked him up to be fostered, I fell asleep before crating him. When he whined to wake me up, I let him in the yard and after 10min he peed. It was late so I figured I'd let him sleep out of the crate in his dog bed. Awoke to him in the same spot with no visible damage to the house. Haven't had a chance see how he does alone in the house out of crate.

Getting the hang of fetch. Enjoys play time with other toys such as rope and sqeakers and can get excited and becom a bit mouthy, not bitey, but do be cautious with children who will excite him. He is a bit of vocal player so if he is your first dog don't be worried if a playful growl escapes while playing tug of war. On that note, he does well with my 13yr old sister, she is a very gentle soul, especially to animals.

No signs of aggressive with food, animals, people, toys or treats. Although does whine at the cat sometimes, will want to chase him but easily intercepted. Shy with the residential dogs, but all of them don't seem to mind each other and quickly accepted and respected each other's spaces.

He's had minimal obedience training but looks to his human friends for guidence. Been using a small handful from his meals as "training treats" as he's overweight but does well with food rewards when asked to sit, lay, shake and stay. Will sit, stay, and heel 50% of the time without treats so he'll need a bit more time for obsedience without a reward.

He enjoys a bed and will stash his toys there. May burry treats if given to in yard. I suspect, Stache would be an amazing dog for first time owners. He is loyal, kind, and easy to handle and I can always find him by my feet or right behind me.
