Lizzie is an exceptional dog. She was found in the woods along with four puppies. All were adopted, but Lizzie was returned because she was too noisy in the apartment complex if she was left alone for any length of time. I have seen very little of this behavior. I have fostered her since November of 2018 as a therapy dog for my old man “Diesel” since his fur brother crossed the Rainbow Bridge earlier in the year. Lizzie is the first dog in a very long time that Diesel has had no exception to. However, his health is declined and he crossed over the rainbow bridge as well.
My house has a total of 4 dogs and 8 cats and she seems to get along with them all. She is curious of cats, but in a playful way. Lizzie would make some young child a very good companion, or a very active adult. She is an avid lizard hunter and is used to having a large yard to run around in. She needs some leash training as she does pull and wants to lead you instead of the other way around. She does have a tendency to jump up on people in excitement when she greets them. She has shown no aggression that I have seen. She is curious of cats, but in a playful way. She is completely crate trained and goes to her crate when she comes in the house. She also gets a treat when she goes in the crate. I feed her twice a day (Purina One Chicken & Rice), one cup in the morning (my schedule is 6:00 AM) and one cup in the afternoon (my schedule between 2:30 and 3:30 PM). Last potty break is around 7:00 PM and is good for the night until 6:00 AM the next morning (usually).
I love this dog, but she needs a younger, more agile person to interact with her, than I can give her.
