This distinguished gentlemen is Wiley. He came to Animal Advocates when we were contacted by a local shelter when his owner passed away.  Wiley might be an older dog, but he is a very curious and mischievous little "coyote".  He is a very active little dog that likes to go for walks and just loves, loves, loves to go for car rides.  He jumps right in the car and takes his place in the passenger seat.  Wiley does have some "clouding" in his eyes, but he can see just fine.  He runs around the yard, can go up and down stairs, and will follow you around the house.  Wiley is for the most part house trained.  He has had a few accidents in the house, but he is an older dog and needs to be take out more frequently.  Wiley can not hold it though the night and needs to get up and go out or he will have an accident.  Wiley does not like to be in a kennel when the door is shut.  He likes to sleep in a kennel, but he will insist in protest to have the door stay open.  Wiley is dog friendly and could care less about cats.

Now it is time to get serious!!! Wiley is a typical chihuahua and can sometimes have an attitude.  He is not going to like you when he first meets you.  Wiley likes both men and women.  But his ole grumpy self just does not care for children.  Wiley is a wonderful little dog that likes to cuddle, give kisses, sleep in the bed, and his favorite place is his humans lap.  It just will take Wiley a day or two to settle into a new environment.  But when he does he is a wonderful, loving, little companion.  Wiley also does not like to be left alone and needs an adopter that is able to be with him often.

So if you think you can give this distinguished gentlemen a home in his retirement years .....please fill out an adoption application.
