Pearl and her brother Levi were rescued from an owner whose beagle had an oops litter. Unfortuanately we do not know what breed the male dog was but the female was a purebreed beagle. Either way they are defintely hounds! This is what the foster had to say about her: Pearl is a hoot, just like her namesake, Minnie Pearl. When thinking of a name for her, we asked her which name she liked and Pearl was the one she responded to. Pearl has a great personality, funny and happy. She loves giving kisses all over faces and if she can't reach your face, she will lick at the air between you and her. She is so loving. In the short time we have had Pearl in our home she has respected the furniture and our shoes. She enjoys her freedom exploring the backyard but appreciates being inside as well. We have stayed away from the "bad" habits, saving them for her forever family to give her. Pearl sleeps through the night in a crate and starts her day by going straight outside to pee. She loves to eat and drinks. So many trips outside. While outside she will play hide and seek, find nature to chew on or lay in the sun smelling the breeze. While indoors, Pearl plays with small stuffed toys and ice cubes. She will make you laugh, to watch her with an ice cube. What we have found that Pearl doesn't like is loud vehicles while on walks and going out in the dark. But the vacuum cleaner and thunderstorms don't bother her. Oh, and she is a bed stealer, like Goldilocks. Pearl will be a great addition to a family with kids and other dogs. (Don't know about cats, we don't have any) She has lots of love to share.
