Learn more about the German Shorthaired Pointer. Learn more about the Golden Retriever.
Georgia owner could not keep her and she travelled down to us from rural Gerogia. Georgia was born deaf and is a happy loving girl. Georgia foster mom had a DNA test done and her breed came back as German Shorthair Pointer/ Golden Retriever/Terrier/and Mutt. She the ultimate super mutt! This is what her foster mom had to say about her personality: Georgia is a sweet but timid girl. She is sensitive in nature and needs a lot of time with her humans. She can be demanding of attention by pawing at you or rubbing her head on you. She loves to lay her head on your lap. She plays well with other dogs but does need to be watched with smaller dogs as she can overwhelm them. She has done well in the past with cats but does not currently reside with cats. Georgia can be possessive of certain toys or bones so should be watched when with them and other dogs or children around. She is deaf so training her will need to be with the use of hand signals and scent training. She can get restless and bored easily so needs walks and/or other mental stimulation. She wants nothing more than to please her humans, she just needs the guidance to do so. This sweet beauty will definitely bring lots of love into your life. Her ideal home will give her the time and attention required by a high energy, smart dog with the ability to commit to consistent training.
