Online Adoption Application

This adorable Westie was found as a stray in rural Georgia. He has a mellow laid back personality. He was found neutered and completely matted and has since had a shave down. This is what his foster had to say about him:

Sandy is a sweet, chill boy. It took a while for his personality to come out but he only has short bursts of playfulness. He's easy going and doesn't play rough. He does great in the kennel and will often sleep in there when he doesn't have too. I would say mostly potty trained but likes to mark his territory and this may be less of an issue if there are no other animals are in the house. He can wear a"male wrap" when he loose indoors and this prevents any unwanted marking but his marking slowed to nearly nothing now that he settled into our hime (he takes correcction easily for this as well). He Gets along with other dogs (we have 2 large labs) but is easily annoyed and likes to show his dominance so he might want to live with a smaller dog or he would probably love to be the sole attention getter!. He good with our kids (ages  7 and 9) who are respectful and gentle. Like most small dogs he loves his laps and doesn't like to share the love with the other dogs in the home. His ideal home might be a retired couple wanting a calmer dog.
