Saban owner surrendered him due to working long hours. She was very upset to have to give him up, but he was not doing well with being left 10 hours a day. He has a lovely personality and is happy to meet anyone! This is what is foster had to say about him: Saban is extremely sweet, no aggressive tendencies at all. Our neighbor whose fence is shared with ours has a giant poodle and they have both just been wagging their tails and sniffing each other. Totally sweet with the kids and when they go to bed he runs in the room and jumps up on the bed with them and wants to snuggle. He loves people! we did introduce him to one other dog, my sister's dog, and she has a female spaniel. Unfortunately, because he was not neutered he was more interested in humping her than playing. Now his challenges. I don’t think the poor dog has had a bit of training. He doesn’t know how to walk on a leash, marks indoors (he is housetrained we believe this is associated with him being an unneutered male dog... which is being remedied now as he is neutered, but it may take several months for this behavior to stop) He doesn’t seem to know any commands. Tries to jump up anytime anyone has people food…will take any blanket he can find off a bed or the couch to "enjoy some private time" ( hopefully, now that he's neutered, this behavior will subside as his testosterone levels decrease). We manage the marking by putting in the male "wrap" when he's indoors. Then there's no issues.
