This cutie was pulled from a local shelter and this is what his foster had to say about him:

Dusty is a 5 year old dachshund mix, however, he acts much younger as he likes to run and play.  He is housebroken, walks on a leash, is neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on all shots.  There was a crate in the house but he rarely spent any time in it, he preferred to sleep on the floor at the foot of his master’s bed.  His foster had a dog and in the beginning they played well but the playing started to get too rough and they were afraid he might injure the other dog who was older (he may do best as an only dog?). He is very possessive of his toys and food and does not want to share them or have them taken away.  It takes him a little time to warm up to you but once he does he is very affectionate and wants to be with you all the time. He was in a home with a 12 year old and was good with him but should not be in a home with small children due to his possessiveness with toys and food.  He is extremely sweet and affectionate and wants to find his forever home with someone who will enjoy him but does not have alot of strangers coming into the home or small children. He currently fostered in a home with a cat and is fine with cats.
