Onion and Garlic where rescued in rural georgia. They where found terrified in a drainage ditch. They looked to never had been around humans before. There rescuer/foster home in GA was a "farm" style home where they are starting to trust humans again. Unfortunally there foster up in GA passed away and they needed to travel down to florida to find there furever home with us. This is what there foster mom has to say about them:

Onion is a sweet, loving, and happy boy with just the right amount of mischief mixed in.  Onion experienced trauma before being rescued and he is still recovering from the effects.  He will need a patient owner who will continue to work with him on trusting people.  Onion has such a fun personality but will need time to warm up to his adopter before he shows it off.

Onion truly is a companion dog.  Onion is able to emotionally bond with his person.  He sticks really close when his person is upset or sick.  He also loves to snuggle with his person.  He loves to sleep with his person at night, and even enjoys sharing your blanket and pillow too!  Onion is potty, crate, and leash trained.  He loves all types of foods, but mainly yours! He even likes fruits and vegetables. Onion’s most favorite past times are walks and playing in the backyard.  He is a master at digging holes and rolling around in the dirt and sand. He is very proud of his work and loves showing it off!  He loves chasing after frisbees and balls but has no desire to retrieve them.  He loves checking out all the new smells on his walks.  He would make an excellent running partner because he is always wanting to move fast on walks.  He also loves running around with his person in the backyard.  He enjoys Kongs, rope toys, and chew toys.

We are working on car rides and going to the pet store.  He is still fearful of these activities but with each exposure he gets more comfortable with it. Onion is fearful of strangers.  Onion isn’t always comfortable around men, but he can co-exist with them. The longer he is around them, the more comfortable he becomes.  He does well with kids (he’s never been around children under the age of 5).  He's fine around cats.  He is very curious about them but doesn’t pursue them.

Onion would do best in a home that has another dog who can “show him the ropes” and be his playmate.  Onion needs a home with a fenced backyard.

There breeds are truely unknown but our best guess looks like shepherd/lab mix?
