Chloe was rescued as a single puppy from rural georgia almost 1 year ago. She was adopted as a puppy and was returned due to no fault of her own. Her human mom allergies have escaladed causing asthma flair ups which have put her owner in the hospital. She is now looking for a new home. Below is some information about her:

She is such a sweet dog that loves to play and romp with other canines.  Unfortunately, she does love to chase the cats around the yard and can have a bit of a prey drive so we don't recommend a home with cats.  She also interacts with the cows in the property behind us and doesn't bite or nip at them.  She loves to play and is very energetic.  She is smart and easily adjusts to routines and schedules.  Riding in the car is not a problem with her as I have trained her to sit in the back without trying to hang out windows or move up to the front.  Ideally, she would love to be in a house that is very active (taking walks, playing fetch etc.) or with another canine friend who is young a equally playful.  She knows the commands "Sit" and "Down" and "Cage" but she does jump and get excited when meeting new people. She does go the groomer every 2-3 weeks because she does not let me trim her nails at home.  She is a very independent lady and doesnt require constant petting....she just likes to sit or lie down near her human!
She is 54 pounds currently and gets along well with other dogs who are young an equally energenic. We don’t have any other pets in the house but she has “puppy play dates” with our friends dogs.  She loves kids and is super sweet with mine. We have been working in her jumping when she gets too excited so probably not toddlers because she may knock them down. She is housebroken and goes to the back door when she wants out. Although she prefers us leaving the porch door open for her to go in and out at will. She has a doggie door in our porch that sees a lot of activity lol. She does sleep in the crate when we are gone which is typically only a few hours. She does sleep in the cage all night with no accidents or problems.  She is not super talkative but can growl if she senses a threat. She loves to be with people so is not the type to go in a room to sleep away her humans. Usually she is right by my feet or follows me around the house. She is a smart and lovable fur baby that would be better suited to a house that will give her lots of activities and attention. She definitely needs a yard to run and needs to be on a leash when out of a fenced yard because she is super fast when chasing a bird , etc.
