Yogi was rescued from rural Georgia. This beautiful boy is so sweet and loving. He loves to play and has a easy carefree spirit! He was orginal though to have some doberman in him but he looks and acts 100% houndy (all nose and ears)! This is what his foster had to say:

This sweet, goofy, fun-loving boy is Yogi, a 6-8 month old black and tan coonhound mix. He looks bigger than he is in pictures, but he will probably be 40-50# when he’s full grown. The vet thinks his legs will get longer when full grown.

He has no health or behavioral issues, but he’s definitely still a puppy. He seems to cower when he hears loud noises (afraid of fireworks). He’s about as submissive and sweet-natured as they come. He gets along great with dogs and ignores cats. He rides easy in the car. He loves to be snuggled on the couch. He has no food or toy aggression with people or other animals. He would love a canine sibling to play with.

He will be a wonderful companion for just about anyone interested in a big dog. He would love a home with or without children, but like any puppy, he will need an environment that will continue to love and train him. He loves enriching toys that make him use his hound nose like a snuffle mat and kong wobbler, but he really likes all of the bones and squeaky toys in the toy box too.

Although he is low maintenance, Yogi is still very much a puppy. He knows to potty outside, but may have an accident without proper boundaries and supervision. Like any puppy, he will need continued crate training, basic command training, and boundaries in order to reinforce good habits, or he might regress. Like any puppy, he will also continue to need training and reinforcement with proper toys and enriching activities to keep him from getting bored (chewing inappropriately, getting into things he shouldn’t, manners, basic commands, etc).
