Diamond and his sister Pearl where rescued from rural Georgia after their owner surrendered them. It seems they had an opps litter with there German Shepard and the neighbors wired hair terrier. These puppies they where not able to give away and so they contacted the rescue group. These puppies have lived there entire short lives outdoors so are figuring out how to act indoors (very scared inside) but warm up slowly! They would love another confident dog to play with and a patient loving home indoors With a fenced yard. This is what her foster had to say about her: Pearl is an incredibly sweet and eager-to-please pup. She is great with young children, other dogs, and cats so long as they are introduced to her slowly. · Pearl has been crate-training since she came to our home and has done wonderfully! She is quiet and comfortable in her kennel overnight and will go in to relax from time to time without prompting. · We have been working on potty training and she has done well in our fenced yard when we wait with her outside. She has had a couple accidents but is now whining by the door when she needs to go potty. · This sweet little girl was most certainly not given the best start to life and is very nervous about new things and quick changes. She is very loving and sweet but will need to be in a home with people that are very patient and willing to introduce her to new things slowly. · We have gotten her used to getting treats as reward for small things like wearing her collar and sitting when asked. We just started working on praise and treat reward for letting us put a leash on her in the home.
